NOTICE

HIGH VIEW WATER DISTRICT

As part of ongoing improvements to the water system, utility crews will be installing a new water valve and replacing a portion of water main at the intersection of Alkire Street and West 6th Place.  This work will require temporary water service interruptions.

 

PHASE 1 – New Water Valve Installation (Friday, April 24, 2026)

Water service will be temporarily interrupted for approximately 30 customers in the project area while the valve is being installed.  This valve is being installed to reduce the number of customers impacted during future construction and to improve system redundancy and reliability. 

Water will be shut off approximately from 9:00am – 4:00pm.

 

PHASE 2 – Water Main Replacement (Monday, May 4, 2026 thru Wednesday, May 6, 2026)

During this phase, a section of water main will be replaced. Water service will be interrupted for customers located south of the intersection of Alkire Street and West 7th Place.

Customers located east of the construction area, on West 6th Place, will not be affected due to the newly installed valve.

Water will be shut off daily from 8:00am – 4:00pm.  Service will be restored daily after 4:00pm.

 

PHASE 3 – Cleanup and Restoration (Thursday, May 7, 2026 – Friday, May 8, 2026)

Cleanup and restoration work will take place.

No additional water outages are expected, as water service will be fully resorted on Wednesday afternoon.

High View Water District and Daniels Sanitation District are separate Title 32 Special Districts that serve residents in the northwest area of Lakewood, Colorado. High View Water District provides water through a Master Meter Contract with Denver Water to residents and businesses within our boundaries. Daniels Sanitation District is responsible for wastewater collection for residents and businesses located in the area as a sub-connecter under the City of Lakewood with Metro Water Recovery.
