On May 11, 2026, The High View Water District Board of Directors voted to implement temporary drought surcharges on exterior water usage, while leaving the rates for interior water usage unchanged. Drought surcharges apply to water consumed by commercial accounts during the month of June and will be reflected on their July billing statement. For residential accounts, surcharges apply to water consumed during the months of July and August and will be reflected on their September billing statement. Provided that drought conditions improve, the district anticipates that the final application of these surcharges will occur during the May 2027 billing cycle. Drought Surcharge Flyers were sent to commercial accounts during the June billing cycle and will be sent to residential customers during the July billing cycle.
